Our practice started as a pediatric surgery group and has grown into a multidisciplinary team covering four subspecialties. Your child can see a surgeon, an oncologist, a GI specialist, or a pulmonologist. All under one roof, all coordinated by providers who know each other and communicate daily.
We work closely with Providence Alaska Medical Center (link), the Alaska Native Medical Center (ANMC) (link), and referring pediatricians across the state to make sure care stays seamless from referral through recovery. Whether your child needs a routine hernia repair or is facing a complex cancer diagnosis, you’ll have the same trusted team from start to finish. We treat patients from newborns through their teenage years, and we’re proud to care for children from every corner of Alaska.

From routine procedures like hernia repairs and appendectomies to complex congenital conditions, our board-certified pediatric surgeons bring expertise and precision to every case. We specialize in minimally invasive and laparoscopic techniques whenever possible, meaning smaller incisions, less pain, and faster recovery for your child. We also handle trauma cases, chest wall corrections, and neonatal surgical emergencies. Our goal is for your whole family to feel informed, supported, and confident through the entire process.
Pediatric Surgery
A childhood cancer diagnosis changes everything for a family, and the importance of staying close to home during treatment cannot be overstated. Our pediatric oncology and hematology team provides expert, compassionate care for children facing leukemia, lymphoma, solid tumors, and blood disorders, right here in Alaska. As members of the Children’s Oncology Group network, we deliver the same evidence-based treatment protocols used at leading children’s hospitals nationwide. From diagnosis through treatment and into survivorship, we walk with your family every step of the way. And when a case requires resources beyond what’s available in-state, we coordinate directly with specialists across the country so your child gets exactly what they need.
Pediatric Oncology & Hematology
Digestive problems can significantly affect a child’s growth, nutrition, comfort, and quality of life. Our pediatric gastroenterologists diagnose and treat a wide range of GI conditions, including inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), Crohn’s disease, celiac disease, chronic constipation, gastroesophageal reflux (GERD), eosinophilic esophagitis, feeding difficulties, and liver disorders. We use advanced diagnostic tools all performed with child-friendly techniques and age-appropriate sedation, including endoscopy and non-invasive imaging. Our team also provides customized nutrition guidance to complement treatment, because managing a GI condition is about more than just medication.
Pediatric Gastroenterology
Breathing problems are among the most common reasons children visit a specialist. And in Alaska, cold air, wood smoke, and long winters can make respiratory conditions harder to manage. Our pulmonology team helps kids with asthma, chronic cough, cystic fibrosis, sleep-disordered breathing, and other respiratory conditions breathe easier and stay active. We offer comprehensive pulmonary function testing, allergy assessments, and sleep evaluations. Whether your child is dealing with a new diagnosis or needs ongoing management of a chronic condition, our goal is to help them thrive at home, at school, and at play.

Why Families Choose Us
Alaska Based. Alaska Focused.
We are the only pediatric specialty practice in Alaska that is locally owned and operated. We live here, raise our families here, and are deeply invested in the health of Alaska’s children. Our providers aren’t rotating through on temporary assignments. They’re your neighbors, your long-term partners in your child’s care, and part of the communities they serve.
Connected & Collaborative
We maintain close working relationships with Providence Alaska Medical Center, the Alaska Native Medical Center, and pediatricians across the state. When your child is referred to us, we communicate directly with your primary care provider so that care stays seamless and coordinated. No gaps. No lost records. No starting over with a new team every time.
Specialty Care Close to Home
With clinic locations in Anchorage, Fairbanks, and Wasilla and rotating clinics in communities across the state, we bring pediatric specialty care within reach for families throughout Alaska. That means fewer flights to the Lower 48, less time away from work and school, and less disruption to your family’s life during an already stressful time.
A Team You Can Trust
Our providers are board-certified in their respective specialties and bring years of experience caring for children with complex medical needs. But credentials are only part of the picture. Families choose us because we listen, we explain things in plain language, and we treat every child like our own. When your kid is scared, we slow down. When you have questions at 10 p.m., we want you to feel like you can call.
